Barbara Connor has been a missionary for more than thirty years - half of that time in Southern Africa and the other half in Western Europe. Serving with Youth with a Mission, she is currently based near Malaga, Spain, where her missions commitment involves two international roles:

  • developing Christian leaders for world missions
  • training and releasing workers for ministry to teenagers, children and families.

As part of the Leadership Development ministry,, Barbara helps to prepare, lead and teach in a variety of seminars and training schools which are held in Spain and beyond. Missionary leaders come from all over the world to attend the LDC (leadership development) course which is held in Malaga every spring. Barbara is also involved as a leadership coach over the internet - connecting reguarly to help and support missionaries on other continents.

As part of the international leadership team for KKI (King’s Kids International - a YWAM ministry serving the world’s young people and their families), Barbara not only seeks to disciple young people and mobilise them in short term outreaches, but also oversees PCYM (principles in child and youth ministry) training schools worldwide and links these training courses.

Barbara lives in Alhaurin de la Torre, where she and others have been involved in seeing a bilingual church started in the town. She hosts a Spanish prayer meeting in her home, participates in various outrech activities and is sometimes involved in leading discipleship classes for children and youth in the church.

Barbara is very grateful for the financial support given by church members, which helps make it possible for her to be involved in missionary service. She would value your prayers for good fruit in these different areas of ministry (youth work, leadership development, coaching and church planting) as well as your prayers for good health and a growing intimacy in relationship with God. with the College of Education in the University of the Nations.
